Adam Marriott is an English striker currently playing for King’s Lynn Town in the Vanarama National League South; the sixth tier of English football.

The 28-year-old forward spent much of his early career first at Cambridge United, before joining non-league Cambridge City in 2012 and netting an impressive 57 goals in 69 league appearances across his two-year spell with the Lilywhites.

FTB: Why Bury FC suffered a terrible fate, but EFL readmission into League Two wasn’t the answer

Bury FC’s expulsion from the Football League was a sad day for English football and blame for the collapse can be thrown squarely onto the owners. Football supporters might have levelled some discontent against the EFL for their unmoving, decisive action but ultimately they had their hands forced – they couldn’t continue to facilitate a sunken ship.

The Shakers legacy was ran into the ground by those in charge, and it’s no surprise that when the football community rallied around the club, they looked towards the option of potential readmission the following year back into the Football League in League Two. In fairness to the EFL too, they willingly facilitated this idea and rather than immediately strike it down, offered it to a vote for the fellow League Two clubs.

Former Celtic, Barcelona and Sweden striker Henrik Larsson is reportedly one of the five possible candidates in discussions with League One side Southend United to become the next Seasiders boss.

The 48-year-old former Sweden international has been spotted at the last two Southend matches, while chairman Ron Martin has said he is going to Stockholm to “meet potential backroom staff’ ahead of the new managerial appointment.

Late injury forces Gillingham to name goalkeeping coach on bench

Simon Royce last played a competitive match back in February 2011 for Brentford during a 4-1 defeat in League One to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Yet, the 48-year-old goalkeeper found himself unexpectedly named on the bench for Gillingham in their League One clash with in-form Oxford United. The reason for the surprise inclusion was a late injury to reserve goalkeeper Joe Walsh.
