PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Chris Wood

Chris Wood is a New Zealand international and striker who currently plays for Premier League side Burnley.

The 27-year-old forward joined Sean Dyche’s side from Leeds United in 2017 and has made 72 league appearances for the side, scoring 25 goals.

Previously at Leeds, Wood scored an impressive 41 times in just 83 league appearances during a two year spell.

Since arriving in England from his native New Zealand back in 2008, after impressing in a trial for West Bromwich Albion, Wood has also played for a number of English sides on loan across the country.

He left West Brom to join Leicester in 2013, and also spent time on loan at Ipswich.
