Ki-Jana Hoever is one of Liverpool’s stars for the future, as the young centre back continues his development at the Anfield club.
The 17-year-old Dutchman joined Liverpool in 2018 from Ajax, after four years at the Amsterdam club. Originally, Hoever started out in the youth ranks of AZ Alkmaar.
Well-liked by boss Jurgen Klopp, who described him back in December 2018 as “confident” and “a joy to watch”, Hoever made his senior debut in the FA Cup away at Wolves in January 2019 replacing an injured Dejan Lovren.
That appearance made him the youngest ever Liverpool player in the FA Cup and their third youngest in any competition.
While still waiting for his first Premier League bow, Hoever continues in the wings, scoring recently in the EFL Cup against MK Dons.
